As an AmeriCorps member, you will serve as a trusted link between community members and critical services. You will serve hands on with residents and community partners to reduce barriers and help families move toward long term stability. This role provides an opportunity to be a change agent working toward closing the gap and removing barriers to thriving for communities and their families. Our program partners with community based non-profit organizations to identify underserved individuals who would benefit from a positive relationship that can give targeted social and emotional support as well as connection to resources. Service term begins September/October 2026 and lasts approximately 10-11 months. 35 hours/week.

The goal of the Affordable Housing Project Coordinator is to meet with community members to coordinate resource referrals in the areas of housing, employment, transportation, medical, financial stability, etc.
Interface with designated committees of the Allentown Collaborative Ministries.
Identify financial partners for project.
Work with realtors to locate possible properties for purchase and/or rehabilitation.
Coordinate church members and other volunteers regarding rehabilitation projects.
Secure and scheduling contractors.
