The principal function of the Stockroom Clerk is to support efficient manufacturing operations through the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, components, and supplies, as well as the timely shipment of finished goods to customers. This role is responsible for verifying incoming materials against purchase orders, properly stocking inventory in designated locations, and issuing parts to production in alignment with work orders and production schedules.
The Stockroom Clerk maintains accurate inventory records within internal systems, performs routine cycle counts, and assists with inventory audits to ensure material accuracy and availability. This position also prepares, packages, and ships customer orders in accordance with company quality standards and shipping procedures. In addition, the role supports continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance stockroom organization and material flow, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with Clippard's operational and safety standards.

The goal of this role is to support efficient manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate management of materials, inventory, and finished goods. It focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, enabling timely production support, and ensuring reliable order fulfillment while maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient stockroom environment.
  • Receive, unload, inspect, and accurately count incoming materials, components, and supplies; record inventory data manually and within Clippard's internal systems.
  • Pack and unpack materials for proper storage or shipment, ensuring items are handled and protected in accordance with company quality standards.
  • Verify inventory accuracy by performing regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies between physical counts and system records; investigate and resolve variances as needed.
  • Organize and store inventory in a clean, orderly, and accessible manner within stockrooms, tool rooms, and supply areas to support efficient production flow.
  • Label and identify stock using appropriate methods, including tags, stamps, or electronic marking tools, ensuring traceability and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of stockroom areas, tools, and equipment in alignment with Clippard's safety and operational requirements.
  • Determine and implement proper storage methods and locations based on inventory turnover, material characteristics, and space utilization to optimize efficiency.
  • Track and document the usage, movement, and condition of inventory and stock handling equipment, reporting any damage or issues promptly.
  • Safely operate a box truck to perform scheduled transportation and delivery duties between multiple facilities and other locations as needed within the Cincinnati metropolitan area.
  • Participate in and successfully pass all company-required safety training programs and maintain compliance with applicable DOT regulations, certifications, and medical requirements.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets company policy, insurance, and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.

Education & Experience:
  • Education level preferred is a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of relevant manufacturing, shipping/stockroom, and/or inventory experience.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Possesses the ability to read, write, and comprehend English to understand work instructions, safety guidelines, and related documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with vendors and customers to ensure all parties receive a positive interaction.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Works collaboratively in a team setting across multiple departments within the company, while also maintaining the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exhibits a reliable work ethic, adaptability, and flexibility to support a variety of responsibilities.
  • Shows a willingness to learn, participate in job training, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to prolonged standing and talking and/or hearing. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Other Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to wear Personal     Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary (Safety Glasses, Foot Protection     and/or Hearing Protection).
