The Colerain Chamber, an established organization, is searching for its next President and CEO. This candidate will create a memorable and rewarding membership experience. They will be responsible for determining and formulating membership policies, outreach, programs, events, and the overall direction of the Colerain Chamber of Commerce within guidelines set up by a board of directors or similar governing body. Plan, direct, and coordinate operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of subordinate staff managers.
The Colerain Chamber serves and celebrates the local businesses, schools, non-profit organizations, and individuals in the Tri-State Region. We are a young Chamber of Commerce with engaged community leaders. We host several events throughout the year, two of which have become our Hallmark events, Hometown Hero, and the Annual Business Awards. A very active and engaged volunteer board and committee are there to help support the President and their team.  Current membership retention is above 80%.
  • Direct or coordinate the organization's financial and budget activities to grow and fund operations, recruit new members and retain members. 
  • Confer with board members and staff members to discuss issues, initiate new activities, coordinate planned activities, or resolve problems. 
  • Responsible for fundraising and  growing sales of memberships.
  • Analyze operations of the organization to evaluate the performance of the Chamber itself or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of cost reduction, program improvement, new opportunities, or policy change. 
  • Direct, plan, and implement policies, objectives, and activities of the Chamber to ensure continuing operations, maximize returns on investments for both the Chamber and its members, or to increase efficiency and productivity. 
  • Prepare an annual budget for approval by the Board of Directors, with responsibility for reporting performance versus budget monthly.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of the Chamber's events, fee structure, membership sales, and programs/services provided to members. 
  • Negotiate or approve contracts or agreements with suppliers, distributors, federal or state agencies, or other organizational entities. 
  • Preside over or serve on Colerain Chamber committees. 
  • Prepare or present reports concerning activities, expenses, budgets, government statutes or rulings, or other items affecting Chamber services. 
  • Deliver speeches, write articles, or present information at meetings or conventions to promote services, exchange ideas, or accomplish objectives. 
  • Serve as a liaison between businesses, government, schools, and residents. 
  • Organize or approve promotional campaigns and new member initiatives. 
  • Represent and promote the Colerain Chamber's objectives at community events and functions or delegate representatives to do so. 
  • Identify innovative initiatives designed to encourage member retention, as well as efforts to recruit new members.
