Responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and maintaining high standards of Health Safety and Environment (HSE) performance across oilfield operations. Supports safe transportation, site safety practices, and regulatory adherence.
Local Hire Note: Preference may be given to candidates residing in the local area to improve response time to field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, including driver qualification files, hours of service (HOS), and vehicle inspections
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and job site hazard assessments
Enforce company HSE policies and procedures on drilling, production, or service locations
Monitor and maintain records for:
Vehicle maintenance and inspections (DVIRs)
Driver logs and ELD systems
Incident and accident reports
Provide safety orientations and toolbox talks to field personnel
Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations; recommend corrective actions
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices
Coordinate with supervisors and crews to improve safety culture
Maintain compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and company guidelines
Assist with emergency response planning and drills
Qualifications:
Experience in oil & gas, trucking, or industrial safety preferred
Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not always required)
Strong documentation and reporting skills
Ability to work outdoors in harsh oilfield conditions
Good communication and teamwork skills
