Ideal Candidate will:
  • Negotiates critical and controversial issues with high-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies.
  • Directs the efforts of other engineers and team members to assure successful project completion.
  • May be assigned project responsibility for projects involving tooling budgets up to $2,000,000 and potential annual sales of up to $50,000,000.
  • May coordinate multiple large projects simultaneously.
  • Works with customer’s project engineers on technical details.
  • May be assigned engineering maintenance responsibilities for major product lines.
  • May be responsible for customer contact on broad issues, interfacing with the customer’s engineers and management.
  • Hands-on work on shop floor as job requires.
  • Problem-solve individually or as part of a group as job duties require.  May lead such problem-solving activities.
  • Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
  • May participate in Warn Industries’ selection process as necessary.
  • Work safely and without injury.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Eight or more years’ experience in a high volume, manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of NX CAD programs
  • Working knowledge of CAN systems, including SAE J1939
  • Working knowledge of wireless communication protocol, including Bluetooth Low Energy and ZigBee
  • Experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture, simulation, and PCB design and layout.
  • Experience designing Firmware in embedded C
  • Experience with Microchip and Nordic chipsets
  • Working knowledge of electromagnetic design and analysis
  • Proficient with various lab tools, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, frequency generators, etc.
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Accept a background check to be performed
  • Minimum of eight years of professional experience with project/product leadership responsibilities
  • Minimum of eight years of hands-on engineering, product design and product development experience
  • Comfortable directing and supporting contract resources to realize product design goals
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers and visitors
  • Experience in problem-solving and lead problem-solving activities

  • BSEE
  • Knowledge in: Embedded systems design
  • Knowledge in: Automotive design standards
  • Knowledge in: CAD programs
  • Knowledge in: Designing and programming firmware
  • Knowledge in: Apply engineering principles to create robust analog, digital and firmware designs
  • Knowledge in: Designing and executing test plans
  • Knowledge in: Create and apply analytical models of electro-mechanical systems
