Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute was founded in 2007 with the merger of two of the areas longest tenured practices – Western Monmouth Orthopedic Associates and New Jersey Orthopedic Associates. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions
  • Prioritize and payment of all invoices upon approval.
  • Health Census Calculations
  • DOL.STD and LTD Wage Statements
  • Cobra Billing
  • Vendor feeds to fund accounts- health insurance, wage works, 401k
  • Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries and knowledge of general ledger.
  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Print and analyze accounts and trends.
  • Maintains historical accounting and bookkeeping records.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Sorting and distributing mail correspondence on a daily basis. 
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and general ledger accounting
  • Proficient in payroll processing
  • Excellent prioritization skills
  • Excellent analytical and data entry skills
  • Ability to deal with complex situations
  • Ability to report financial research results
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Detail-oriented, organized, thorough, and accountable
  • Team oriented- coordinate with billing and payroll departments
  • Minimum 1 year experience in bookeeping
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Minimum Associates Degree
  • Knowledge in: Experience with Financial Mgmt software (eg - Quickbooks)
