Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. Perform various payroll duties. 25- 30 Hours

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions
  • Prioritize and payment of all invoices upon approval.
  • Set up of payroll system modules
  • Recording of payroll in general ledger
  • Oversight  and execution of  payroll processing for all staff utilizing respective payroll system
  • Payroll- all new hires, terms, deductions, garnishments, changes, bonuses, stipends
  • Health Census Calculations
  • DOL.STD and LTD Wage Statements
  • Upkeep and tracking of all staff Paid Time Off (PTO) hours per the respective PTO Policy
  • All Benefits and Health insurance billing and reconciliation
  • LOA Benefit Payment Processing
  • Cobra Billing
  • Vendor feeds to fund accounts- health insurance, wage works, 401k
  • Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries and knowledge of general ledger.
  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Print and analyze accounts and trends.
  • Maintains historical accounting and bookkeeping records.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Sorting and distributing mail correspondence on a daily basis. 
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and general ledger accounting
  • Proficient in payroll processing
  • Excellent prioritization skills
  • Excellent analytical and data entry skills
  • Ability to deal with complex situations
  • Ability to report financial research results
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Detail-oriented, organized, thorough, and accountable
  • Team oriented- coordinate with billing and payroll departments
  • Minimum 5 Years Experience in Bookkeeper, Medical Preferred
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Accept a background check to be performed
  • Accept a credit check to be performed
  • Accept a drug test to be performed
  • Knowledge in: Intuit QuickBooks
  • Knowledge in: Payroll software
  • Knowledge in: Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge in: Ledger sheets
