2026 CORDROS SALES ACADEMY PROGRAM
The Cordros Sales Academy is a structured 4-month graduate trainee programme designed to develop commercially driven talent into high-performing, field-ready sales professionals. The programme combines classroom learning, structured coaching and practical on-the-job experience across the sales cycle, including prospecting, customer engagement, market development, territory management, pipeline management and sales execution. Trainees will work closely with experienced sales professionals, progressively take ownership of assigned territories and customer segments, and be assessed on their learning, commercial performance and behavioural competencies.
 
Successful candidates will participate in an intensive classroom training programme, followed by structured field learning and supervised market deployment under the guidance of experienced sales professionals. Trainees will progressively take ownership of assigned territories and customer segments, build practical sales capabilities, work towards defined targets and receive continuous coaching and feedback throughout the programme.

Education & Experience:
  • Graduated from a recognised Nigerian or foreign university with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division (2:2) in any discipline.
  • Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme and possess a valid NYSC Discharge Certificate or Certificate of Exemption.
  • Be 30 years or below at the point of application.
  • Have 1-2 years of relevant experience in Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate actively in the structured classroom, coaching and on-the-job learning components of the Sales Academy.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Cordros, its product portfolio, the financial services industry and the competitive landscape.
  • Learn and apply core sales processes, prospecting techniques, customer engagement and territory management practices.
  • Shadow experienced sales professionals and participate in customer engagements, sales calls, market visits and pipeline reviews.
  • Support lead generation, customer acquisition, market mapping, trade activation and customer penetration activities.
  • Build and manage sales pipelines and maintain accurate and timely sales reports.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Apply effective objection handling, negotiation, closing and complaint-resolution techniques.
  • Utilise CRM and other commercial tools for pipeline management, performance tracking and reporting.
  • Progressively take ownership of assigned territories or customer segments and work towards agreed sales targets.
  • Gather market intelligence and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Demonstrate strong business communication, presentation, problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Participate in coaching sessions, milestone reviews, assessments and feedback sessions throughout the programme.
  • Demonstrate accountability, initiative, adaptability, professionalism and a strong customer-focused mindset.
  • Deliver a final product pitch and review of individual target performance as part of the final assessment.
