This position is responsible for the management, coordination, and execution of the Mann's digital marketing strategy, content, and analytics-encompassing but not limited to social media, MannCenter.org, e-mail marketing, online advertising, digital signage, and ticketing processes. The Digital Marketing Manager will steer the website and its extensions to ensure a coherent presence across all media channels and to increase awareness and revenues for the Mann Center for the Performing Arts.
 
This position works closely with all departments to further the institutional goals and brand of the Mann. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of traditional and web marketing techniques and advertising, and knows how to use electronic media and graphic design to enhance the Mann's objectives. Strong writing and organizational skills, non-profit and performing arts knowledge, and digital marketing expertise are necessary for this role.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Chief Brand Officer.

  • Manages, updates, and creates content on MannCenter.org, including event-related and facility information; develops new pages on the Mann's website on Drupal 10; obtains or generates all appropriate artwork, written copy, and approvals; maintains quality assurance and strong attention to detail.
  • Oversees, develops, and executes social media content across the Mann's social channels; creates content calendars for organic social efforts; works cross-departmentally to generate content to meet departmental goals.
  • Designs, drafts, and sends e-mails on behalf of the Mann Center using Ticketmaster Engagement (like MailChimp) while collaborating with departmental managers and stakeholders from Marketing, Programming, Development, Education, Operations, and other departments.
  • Works with the Mann's digital marketing firm to execute paid and organic media across social channels and the web; places Google Search ads for Mann Presents concerts, events, and institutional initiatives; oversees the Mann's Digital Marketing firm relationship.
  • Designs and manages digital signage; designs social media content, e-mail graphics, and other collateral required for marketing and other institutional efforts; resizes admats and artwork using Adobe Creative Suite; provides additional design support.
  • Assists in project managing the job start queue for the Mann's Creative Services Manager and Videographer; provides the first round of feedback/edits to all multimedia and design projects.
  • Manages the Mann's online community; monitors digital channels for patron comments related to Customer Experience, Facilities, Programming, etc., and liaises with the appropriate departments to determine the best responses or actions.
  • Manages on-site marketing responsibilities at Mann Center performances throughout the season, covering real-time social posts, press/photographer escorting, emergency messaging, and other marketing-related needs as the primary on-call person from the Marketing Department.
  • Encourages online audience engagement and promotions; innovates new institutional engagement tactics, both traditional and digital; develops and oversees digital promotions related to performances.
  • Supports the season's concert announcements through social media, e-mail, form creation, and webpage management.
  • Identifies and advises on emergent technology trends; recommends new features and applications relevant to the Mann's long-term goals and marketing strategies; continues to grow existing digital and social channels.
  • Manages and coordinates digital marketing vendor relationships, account maintenance, and invoice tracking.
  • Collaborates with other marketing team members to build event-specific marketing plans for e-mail campaigns, display advertising, paid social media, and paid search; contributes to event marketing settlements.
  • Provides regular reporting on digital marketing performance, highlighting relevant trends, including open / click-through rates, web traffic, and conversions/revenue generated.
  • Utilizes CRM to pull patron data reports, analyze buyer trends, and formulate segmentation and targeting strategies in collaboration with the Mann's Marketing Insights Manager.
  • Collaborates with the Mann's Marketing Manager to track partnership deliverables and trade agreements.
  • Works closely with the Mann's public relations firm to share exciting press on the website and social media.
  • Collaborates with web developers on website maintenance and updates, including design, content, and any digital elements needed concerning the Mann's 50th anniversary in 2026.
  • Oversees data management and categorization for digital assets such as event photographs, logos, and marketing artwork.
