The front desk associate serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system.

Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute was founded in 2007 with the merger of two of the areas longest tenured practices – Western Monmouth Orthopedic Associates and New Jersey Orthopedic Associates. The combined practice allows us to draw on our complementary strengths to deliver exceptional patient-centered, patient-focused care for a better overall patient experience.

Full time- 40 hours per week , Business hours are 7 to 7 M to Th, Fri 7 to 5, 2 night shifts are required , flexible with scheduling

 
Essential Duties:  
Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Collects all patient co- pays, insurance payments or any other payments due at point of service and ensure the payments are appropriately accounted for.
Maintains therapist schedule accordingly in WebPT.
Schedules progress evaluations as needed.
Maintains current patient prescriptions.
Ensures all Medicare Plans of Care are current and signed by the referring doctor.
Ensures all authorizations are current.
Scans all discharged cases into E-Clinical Works (E.C.W.)
Creates reports for Clinical Director to track unsigned notes, missing patients and any other metrics the Clinical Director requires to track departmental statistics.
Files all reports in a timely fashion.
Obtains all insurance verification.
Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer's instructions for house phone and console operation.
Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Performs other duties as requested/directed.

  • Responsible for timely completion of all new hire training, departmental training and yearly compliance training on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of timesheets/ time records for hours work and payroll processing. Time records must be completed and approved by employee no later than close of business on last day of each pay period.
  • Actively participates in the safety programs of the organization by identifying potential risks and promoting patient safety as well as environmental safety.

Minimum Education, Years of Experience:
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Should possess a minimum of 0 to 2 years as a medical receptionist or related field.
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to gather data and compile information.
  • Must possess basic computer knowledge and skills (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
 

  • Minimum of 1 year experience
  • Minimum High School Degree
