Front Desk Associate - Runner

The Front desk –  runner  serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival and maintains security and telecommunications system.
Also is responsible for managing patient flow in the office, by moving patients through a predetermined schedule of appointments, triaging patients according to the state CDC guidelines.

  • Greets all patients and visitors when they arrive.
  • Ensures all patients stop at the temperature station and fill out the COVID-19 questionnaire.
  • Issues correct paperwork, including all new COVID-19 consent forms to patient, guardian visitors and vendors. Ensures all patient and staff are following the practice CDC guidelines implemented.
  • Provides patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
  • Reviews and completes all Outcomes Based Electronic Research Database (OBERD) questions daily.
  • Gives patient necessary paperwork for procedures, prescriptions or therapy as ordered by the doctor.
  • Answer’s patient questions and provide assistance with Kiosks when necessary.
  • Escorts patient to the Pods waiting area.
  • Escorts all patients to Physical Therapy and maintain a spreadsheet and submit to office manager.
  • Scans all documents into patient charts and empties the fax in-box.
  • Cleans and disinfects patient area and kiosks after every patient use.
  • May assist other staff members with their duties as workload dictates.
  • Empty the recycle bin, shut down lobby TV’s and any other devices as required, daily prior to leaving.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Travels to appropriate office as assigned by Practice Manger, if required.
  • Lock the lobby door after the last patient, prior to leaving.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Office Manager.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of timesheets/ time records for hours work and payroll processing. Time records must be completed and approved by employee no later than close of business on last day of each pay period.
  • Responsible for timely completion of all new hire training, departmental training, and yearly compliance training (Hpro) on an ongoing basis.
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Minimum High School Degree
  • One year experience in a healthcare organization
