At Daffy Ducts, our Insulation Installation Technicians perform all of the duties to carry out attic insulation installation, upgrade and removal orders. As a Insulation Installation Technician, you are expected to:
  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance and positive demeanor.
  • Communicate with customers and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Respond to difficult or challenging customer interactions in a professional, calm, and mature fashion; making sure to advise management if ever you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
As a Insulation Installation Technician you will:
  • Inspect & maintain your equipment and your teams company vehicle.
  • Learn to order and manage work supplies to ensure you have what you need when you need it.
  • Learn to monitor and maximize the productivity and profitability of your business unit.
  • Develop yourself both professionally and personally through programs provided by the company.
  • Meet goals and fulfill duties as assigned.
On a daily basis your workload will change, grow and improve. You should expect to learn how to:
  • Complete any pre-work checklists and inspect your Company Vehicle.
  • Thoroughly examine worksite prior to beginning work.
  • Walk through the process with customers, educating them about our services and products; articulate the value of what we do and promote added services that benefit the customer.
  • Complete insulation installation process based on company protocol and procedures. 
  • Complete work in a safe, respectful, neat, thorough, efficient, and timely manner; taking ultimate care to protect yourself and others, the customer's home and possessions, and company assets.
  • Thoroughly inspect all work and the work area; checking for cleanliness, safety, accuracy, and quality; complete any post-job checklists.
  • Review the completed job with the customer and address any concerns or questions; strive for ultimate customer satisfaction.
  • Breakdown the jobsite and return equipment to the truck in an organized and safe manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Environment: Indoor & outdoor environment on a daily basis.
  • Exposures: Dirt, dust, loud noise, varying weather conditions (dry/wet, cold/hot, etc.) on a daily basis.
  • Physicality: Walk, stand, stoop, sit, squat, climb, reach, grasp, push, pull, bend for long periods of time on a daily basis.
  • Schedule Demands: Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to support the business. Occasional overtime.

As an Insulation Installation Technician, you will learn all of the processes and procedures for our insulation operation and for the use of our vehicles, equipment, and tools. Your main objectives are to: work safely, learn by observing, listening, and doing, be fully engaged, build expertise, develop and practice your skills, and assist other Technicians. You are also expected to follow the responsibilities and duties for our Insulation Installation Technicians, which are to:
  • Align work behavior with company mission and values.
  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance and positive demeanor.
  • Complete any mandatory training or development required for your role.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Engage with customers and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Respond to difficult or challenging customer interactions in a professional, calm and mature fashion; making sure to advise management if ever you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
  • Cross-check multiple sources to ensure proper preparation for the work day; coordinate and communicate clearly with customers, dispatch, and other team members in a timely manner.
  • Inspect & maintain equipment and vehicle.
  • Commute to and from each job on a daily basis.
  • Follow all instructions pertaining to the use of technology and devices used in the course of our business.
  • Order and manage work supplies to ensure you have required supply at all times.
  • Complete any pre-work checklists and walk through the cleaning process with customers, educating them about our services and products; articulate the value of what we do and promote added services that benefit the customer.
  • Thoroughly examine worksite prior to beginning work then safely unload any necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Complete the insulation installation process based on company protocol and procedures. Complete work in a safe, respectful, neat, thorough, efficient, and timely manner; taking ultimate care to protect yourself and others, the customer's home and possessions, and company assets.
  • Use your expertise and product knowledge to problem solve and troubleshoot issues before involving management.
  • Thoroughly inspect all work and the work area; checking for cleanliness, safety, accuracy, and quality; complete any post-job checklists.
  • Review the completed job with the customer and address any concerns or questions; strive for ultimate customer satisfaction.
  • Breakdown the jobsite and return equipment to the truck in an organized and safe manner.
  • Monitor and maximize the productivity and profitability of your business unit (truck).
  • Develop self, coworkers, and team.
  • Meet goals and fulfill duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma/GED. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving history and have access to reliable transportation. Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen. Additional certifications, licenses, or degrees in HVAC, a trade, business, operations, sales, human resources, or finance considered a plus.
