The therapy aide serves patients by escorting them into the therapy gym. They greet and welcome them appropriately and direct them to the proper therapy area, as well as notify the respective therapist of their arrival. The therapy aide also prepares the treatment area and equipment necessary for patient care under the direction of the therapist.

We are seeking three (3) part time therapy aides; one for our Edison office and two (2) for our Freehold location. The Freehold candidates may be asked to provide coverage at our other offices, but their primary job location will be Freehold.

Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute was founded in 2007 with the merger of two of the areas longest tenured practices - Western Monmouth Orthopedic Associates and New Jersey Orthopedic Associates. The combined practice allows us to draw on our complementary strengths to deliver exceptional patient-centered, patient-focused care for a better overall patient experience.

  • Safeguard and assist patients performing exercises and functional activities under the direction of Physical / Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapy Assistants.
  • Transport patients to and from treatment areas.Prepare hot packs, cold packs and ice packs for use by the Physical/ Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment.
  • Clean and organize work area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
  • Maintain equipment and furniture to keep it in good working condition, including performing the assembly and disassembly of equipment and accessories.
  • Change linens after each patient.
  • Arrange treatment supplies to keep them in order.
  • Perform clerical duties such as taking inventory, ordering supplies and filling out forms.
  • Support front desk staff and cover for receptionist as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested/directed.

  • Demonstrates, maintains and upholds expectations set forth in the organizational Code of Conduct and Compliance Program.
  • Responsible for timely completion of all new hire training, departmental training and yearly compliance training on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of timesheets/ time records for hours work and payroll processing. Time records must be completed and approved by employee no later than close of business on last day of each pay period.
  • Actively participates in the safety programs of the organization by identifying potential risks and promoting patient safety as well as environmental safety.
  • Accomplishes individual and team goals and objectives established by supervisor/manager
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • minimum 0-2 years expereince as a therapy aide or related filed
  • Minimum High School Degree
