The role of Campus Receptionist is a part-time non-exempt seasonal position (APR - OCT) reporting to the Assistant to the General Manager. This forward-facing, dynamic role serves as the initial point of contact for in-person visitors, guests, and performing artists and with patrons and business partners over the phone.

Vision: The Mann will be recognized as the national model and trusted curator of "must-see" performances and transformative experiences in Philadelphia and beyond.
Mission: The Mann Center for the Performing Arts - situated in historic Fairmount Park with breathtaking views of Philadelphia's skyline - serves as one of the nation's premier non-profit and intercultural outdoor performing arts organizations by:

  • Acts as the Mann's initial point of contact by welcoming visitors, guests, business partners, and artists to the backstage spaces at the Mann. 
  • Provides wayfinding for the parties mentioned above, including directions to bathrooms, catering, the stage, etc.
  • Assists tour personnel regarding local attractions, services, entertainment, etc.  
  • Notifies back-of-house staff of guest arrivals or other matters.
  • Welcome guests, assist with the signing-in process, and issue badges. Maintains records and logs of visitors arriving and leaving the campus.
  • Acts as a representative for the Mann by answering incoming calls and emails from patrons and answering their questions professionally and confidently.
  • Records lost property in the Mann log system and coordinates pickup of these items.
  • Oversees acceptance of deliveries to the main entrance and coordinates delivery to their recipients.
  • Maintains up-to-date information for SEPTA Loop service schedules.  
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Accept a background check to be performed
