As a Travel Correctional LPN, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a Correctional Center/Facility located in Angola, LA. This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare.
Position: Travel Correctional -LPN Location: Angola, LA - ICE 57 PROCESSING CENTER Schedule: AM/PM shifts needed - 6a-6p, 6p-6aa Strating hourly Pay: $38.00 hourly with a travel per diem / 12-Week Contracts
What You'll Do: As a Correctional Nurse, you'll be at the forefront of compassionate care in a correctional center or facility in Louisiana. Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to the following:
Apply appropriate nursing skills in the area and treatment of inmates/residents.
Operate pill calls, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and/or procedures
Attend sick calls with the physician to see inmates/residents; prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined; prepare examining room and equipment.
Examine and assess new inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries or inmates/residents who become ill or injured; refer inmates/residents to the emergency room or other appropriate healthcare facilities as required by their condition.
Monitor, as directed, inmate/resident inpatient hospitalizations for early releases whenever appropriate
Regularly evaluate the provision of medical services to prevent the inappropriate use or duplication of those services
Perform emergency procedures as needed and notify Licensed Independent Providers for treatment orders.
Provide guidance, supervise, and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff
Requirements.
LPN license in Louisiana or "Compact" Multi-License
BLS
1+ years of recent correctional nursing experience preferred
Must be eligible to work in the United States
