Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - PRN Location: Rehab Facility in Westminster, CO Reports To: Charge Nurse / Nurse Manager
Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and daily living support to residents in our rehabilitation facility. Working under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, the CNA ensures residents receive compassionate, respectful, and high-quality care while supporting their recovery and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Provide mobility assistance: transfers, ambulation, range-of-motion exercises, and use of assistive devices.
Take and record vital signs, intake/output, weight, and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
Support residents with therapy schedules, ensuring timely attendance at rehab sessions.
Maintain resident safety through regular monitoring, fall prevention, and prompt response to call lights.
Deliver excellent customer service to residents and families, promoting dignity and respect.
Assist with meal service, hydration rounds, and nutritional needs.
Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms, equipment, and common areas in compliance with facility standards.
Document care provided in the electronic medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies at all times.
Qualifications
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in CO.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and perform frequent standing, bending, and walking.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, team-oriented approach.
Work Environment
Fast-paced rehab facility with frequent patient interaction.
Exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, and cleaning agents.
Must be flexible to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
